Wine Amigo originated from Cafe de Amigo..
Wine Amigo has an extensive wine list available for sale.
The Wine Room - a new extension of Cafe de Amigo opened in September 1999, and has since become an alternative venue for the wine industry, a place for wine tasting, wine classes, and winemaker dinners.
Customers love to be seated in The Wine Room that doubles a huge wine cellar carrying 4,000 bottles of 600 wines from all over the world
WineAmigo Panel Tasting (WPT) is probably the most frequent evaluation tasting in town, members of the Panel meet every Tuesday, mostly blind-tasting, occasionally for portfolio tasting too.
Visiting Wine Personalities are regularly invited as guests to the Tasting.
Wine Amigo is always on the look out for wine lovers to join the Panel. If you are keen to become a Panel member, or would like to come as guest to one of our tasting, e-mail us with a brief introduction on your wine experience.
The WineAmigo.com was launched in 2001 to serve the wine lovers, providing a ground where friends in wine, whether beginners or connoisseurs, can share there interest, knowledge, and experience with others.
For wines that are not shown in our wine list, our Wine Amigos may have that in the private cellar, so why not put up your request on the website, let them know what you are looking for, you may be surprised to find the wine you want, at a deal.
Equally if you would like to sell because you are moving to other country, have too many of same type of wine, or simply enjoy, sharing your collections with someone eagerly wanting to taste the wine of which you are the only one person having it, put that up, you might find an eager buyer who will thank you 1000 times. This is a FREE service, there is no charge and no commission involved, however, if you open the wine @ Cafe de Amigo, Tommy loves to be offered a taste!
When Tommy Lam introduced the BYO policy in Jan 1998 at Cafe de Amigo, many people doubted the idea. But it is now one of the most talked about topics among wine lovers.
"Knowledge of wine does not come from tasting of wines alone. One should acquire further through reading facts, sharing information and listen to other's opinions, which will indeed further enhance one's experience in wine. Here we share with you what we know about wine, it provides a basic knowledge, not necessarily comprehensive enough to cover all aspects, but we will from time to time improve the content and add new information."....
