Jay Hirons & Julie Staley run the Kip McGrath Education Centre™ at Golf Son Quint, Palma de Mallorca.
Kip McGrath Education Centres™ provide world leading supplementary education. This reputation has been built up over 30 years of experience tutoring children of all ages. The first KMEC opened its doors in Newcastle, Australia in 1974 with the founding principle "anyone can learn if taught properly". Today KMEC is an internationally trusted name in the field of supplementary education, with over 680 education centres in 20 countries.
Both Jay and Julie are aware of the need for the children of local international residents to develop their mutli-lingual skills to ensure a future where they can compete both locally and on the international business stage. Jay explains "The centre will assist both native English speakers and Catalan or Spanish speaking children to improve or develop their level of English or Mathematics"
Julie's daughter Grace is a student at the centre. Julie says "Grace attends our local village school in Puigpunyent, which is fantastic. I am aware however, that she needs to maintain and develop her level of written English, attending the centre is the perfect way to do this. She will have the best of both worlds; learning in the local environment and keeping her options open for the future."
What can you expect from the centre
The teaching experience is fun and engaging using computers, workbooks and various other activities. All the tutoring is tailored specifically to the level of the individual student, their pace and ability.
To compliment the core English and Mathematics, Jay and Julie can also offer more challenging courses for students of all ages. These include Little Learners, Get Ready for School, English as a Second Language, through to Expert Mathematics, Study Skills and Essay Writing.
Jay and Julie are passionate about the service they offer their clients, after an initial free assessment, they will be able to guide you and your child through the programme that will be required. Julie says "We want to ensure that everyone who comes into our centre feels that it has been a great experience. We want to give parents peace of mind that their child is progressing and developing, at any time we will be happy to discuss any issues or give any feedback that a parent or student requires."
