Ecole Internationale Malherbe

Ecole Internationale Malherbe is an English-speaking private school for children ages 2-10. Classes are held five days a week from 9:00-4:00 and hot lunches are provided.

English and French education

Our two and three-year olds are introduced to the French language through music and sports. At age four, non-French speaking children begin French classes. Our primary education for 5-10 year olds follows the English National Curriculum and the French National Programme for French. Children learn to read and write in English at age 5 and are taught to read and write in French the following year. Ecole Internationale Malherbe provides a transferable international education, preparing children for further schooling throughout the world in English, French and international schools.

Cultural Diversity

Over 50% of our pupils come from English speaking families. Each day at EIM, approximately 150 bright and energetic children representing over 25 nationalities come together to experience all the benefits of a multi-cultural environment. We celebrate our diversity of culture, religion, and race and take pride in the caring and family-like atmosphere which enables pupils to settle quickly, develop self-esteem and respect for others.

Personalized Teaching

Our pre-primary classes (ages 2-4) are strongly Montessori-based. For our primary classes (ages 5-10), the curriculum provides an education based on the philosophy of the British educational system while recognising the international nature of our enrolment. Classes are student-centred and tailored to meet the unique needs of our diverse student body. Sports, Music, Art and ICT are an integral part of our coursework. Learning Support is available.

Exceptional Setting

Ecole Internationale Malherbe is situated in park-like surroundings and is housed in a lovely 19^th century residence which has been adapted to make a pleasant learning environment with bright, well-resourced classrooms. Le Vésinet is 20 minutes by car from Paris Place Charles-de-Gaulle Etoile. EIM is 15 minutes from the La Défense RER A station and we are an 8 minute walking distance from the Le Vésinet-Le Pecq station. An additional site for children ages 2-4 is located in Le Pecq.
