Bilingual School

The Maria Montessori Bilingual School is a private school which caters for children from two and a half to eleven years of age. All the teachers hold the International Montessori Association (AMI) diplomas.

The school is non-denominational and open to all.

Our School

The school welcomes children aged 2 to 11.

We apply an active pedagogy based in the Montessori principles:

Classes with a mixed age-range
A Montessori trained teacher
A flexible timetable
A program that is carefully thought out to allow each child to grow and progress at his or her own pace
A prepared environment that is rich and stimulating for the child
A curriculum that is in accordance with the national system's guidelines and programs

Pedagogical Program

2 - 3 year olds:

Provide the children with a fulfilling, stimulating and safe environment
Help the children become accustomed to the rules of social living
Encourage communication skills
Answer the child's needs to independence
Help the child to become autonomous

3 - 6 year olds:

Enable the child to capable of organizing his own work
Aid the development of self-discipline and respect for others
Prepare the child for reading and writing
Awaken the child's sense of mathematics

6 - 11 year olds:

All following subjects are covered:

Mathematics, Geometry, Language, History, Geography, Science, Biology, Art, Music and Sport

The program is rich and varied to support the development of the child's intellectual, emotional, social and creative intelligence.

Bilingual Atmosphere

Between the ages of 2 and 6 the acquisition of a second language is easier that later in life, our program is taught in both French and English by first language French and English speakers.
