Concordian International School (CIS) stands alone in Thailand in its commitment to educating students in the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum through the medium of three languages. English, Mandarin Chinese and Thai. Students at Concordian will experience our Language Immersion Program from Nursery until Grade 5 (PYP). From Grade 6 (MYP) to Grade 12 (IB Diploma) they will be taught in English, with Mandarin taught as a modern world language.

Our research based immersion program focuses on students not only acquiring language skills but also developing the capacity to communicate in meaningful ways. By integrating language and content, learning becomes an integral part of a child's social and cognitive development. The classroom environment is geared towards an inquiry approach to learning and encourages "hands-on" investigations, independent learning and the development of critical and creative thinking skills. Concordian students, therefore learn to relate acquired knowledge not only to everyday life but also to the outside world.

Students who have no previous background in Chinese can enter at any grade level to take advantage of the multilingual environment and state-of-the-art campus equipped with advanced technology and interactive smartboards in all classes.

The IB-MYP offers the highest quality education available on an international level. It is excellent preparation for the rigorous IB Diploma program offered in the eleventh and twelfth grades. A broad spectrum of courses is offered and students are under the care of highly experienced IB trained teachers.
