BRITCHAM - The British Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brazil
Britcham is a national non-profit association, whose aim is to increase British-Brazilian relations, promote debates and act in the development of business in the British and Brazilian communities, providing a forum to increase bilateral trade, investments and services.
Founded in 1916, Britcham has offices in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul and has a proud history in the promotion of businesses between Brazil and Great Britain in all sectors of commerce and industry. New members - either companies or individuals - are always welcome whether they be based in Brazil or in the United Kingdom, and the Chamber is able to offer them a wide range of benefits .
Perhaps the principal benefit for most members is the chance to meet and network with other members and with visitors and guests of the Chamber at the regular events held in the three Branches. Main events usually have a prominent British or Brazilian business or political speaker, and there are also regular seminars on general business topics and the events organised by the various specialist committees. We have active Committees for Ethics and Social Responsibility, Trade & International Investment, Legal, Tax, Environment, Health, Tourism, Business Support Group, Energy, Marketing, Arbitration, Insurance and Reinsurance, CEOs Breakfast and Young Britcham.
The Chamber publishes the Britain Brasil magazine, has a lively website and publishes an Annual Directory. Our most well-known publication Doing Business in Brazil (the only book of its kind in English) which is updated annually, has now a "twin" called Doing Energy Business in Brazil.
